Course
Description: This
course covers database administration issues and distributed database
concepts. Topics include database administrator (DBA) goals and functions,
backup and recovery, standards and procedures, training, and database
security and performance evaluation. Upon completion, students should be
able to produce DBA functions' documentation.
Course Goals:
- To obtain the education and hands-on skill to Administer an RDBMS,
Relational Database Management System, help students well prepare and
familiar with Oracle and Oracle certification SQL (1Z0-031)
exam.

Objectives: Upon
successful completion, students will be able to demonstrate (through
completion of classwork and assignments):
- An understanding of the Oracle Architecture
- An understanding of Oracle Database Structures
- An understanding of Managing Tablespace and Datafiles
